What are the differences between an HVTR and a standard transformer?

Compactness. T/R, Control, Reactor and Ground Switch are Integrated in one package
Energy saving. The HVTR Operates at High Frequency and therefore the supply is smaller and lighter.
Easy. Quick installation, almost zero maintenance is needed.

The High frequency T/R improves the peak to average output ratio, thereby supplying up to 30% more power into the WESP or ESP.

Technical solution

AWS supplied the ElectrocleanTM ESP with the following features:

Vessel
The vessel was made in SS316L but also carbon steel can be supplied as alternative material, depending on customer’s requirements and in case of specific processes only.

Internals
Tube bundle, ionizing electrodes & their support structures (top & bottom) and insulator compartments have been manufactured in SS316L.

As alternative tube bundle, ionizing electrodes support structures (top & bottom) and insulator compartments can be also fabricated in carbon steel if allowed by the specific process conditions.
